What does “crashing out” mean?
In everyday slang, to crash out is to lose your composure — an outburst or a breakdown set off by pressure that finally exceeds what a person can absorb. We use it at a larger scale. The label describes a moment when the systems people were told to rely on — work, wages, institutions, the promise that the future gets better — stop holding, and the honest response is to say so out loud instead of performing a stability you don't feel.
Is Crashing Out a real clothing brand?
Yes. Crashing Out is an independent apparel label founded in 2025. Drop 001 is the first collection: nine pieces spanning tees, a cami, a hoodie, sweatpants, shorts, a cap and dog wear. It is also a movement and a newsletter — the clothing and the writing are the same argument in two formats.
What is in Drop 001?
A limited run of nine pieces: the Core Tee, the Signature Cami, the Signature Hoodie, the Signature Sweatpants, the Signature Shorts, the Signature Cap, and three dog tees. Everything is printed with the Crashing Out emblem in the drop's red, green, blue and white colourways.

An eight-piece run of heavyweight black cotton tees built around one line: “AI doesn't harm people, LLMs do!” The point is that the model itself is not the culprit — the products and incentives built on top of it are.
